Now I can understand why boatloads of Americans would want to migrate to Mexico, but I can't understand why the hell the Mexicans would want to let them in.

They would lower the tone of the whole place.

What a great way for Powell to gain the favor of Mexicans! There is no chance for immigration reform in the U.S.-Mexican border. Many of the white inhabitants of the American border states hate Mexicans. For those who did not notice, they all voted for Bush in the last election. The Republican party can keep them happy by not changing the status-quo.

Win-win for everyone!
