Greetings to all. New member here. I just found the site.
I'm an attorney in Los Angeles, age 34. Love history, especially European military history. Recent readings on the Spanish conquest of the Americas have led me to a current interest in Mexican history. Other hobbies: cigars, beer and playing guitar (simultaneously if possible).

Alas my friends, we're vastly outnumbered by those audacious youngsters.
I'm 36 (but look much younger, as the ladies say ), born in Samos but live in Athens. Studied economics and have an MBA. Work as HR Officer. Hobbies: History and rafting
Ambition: sell everything I own and become a beach-bum.

My name is Giorgos, I live in Athens, Greece, I am a reckless bum (or so my wife calls me all the time), a workaholic (or so I let people think) and an avid history fan. Compared with most of you, I am also an extremely old reckless bum (like... 35!!!! years old).

Ahoy to all. My name is Anna and I happened upon this site while doing a google search. I am an avid gamer with a more than slight obsession with pirates (not the real ones, just the hook-for-hand and eyepatch ones). I am an English Lit major and I (although my university doesn't offer any courses in it) specialise in Russian literature of the 18th and 19th century. My favorite historical period/place would have to be Ancient Egypt, though I am fascinated by most ancient civilizations.
Anyways, I am glad to join your lovely community. I was very happy to find a board devoted to history and I hope I can fit right in
