I just watched the movie "Wu Ji" ("The Promise") - the most expensive film in Chinese history (with a budget of $35 million) with an international cast from South Korea, Japan, China, and Hong Kong. While the cinematography of the film was quite impressive, overall it's a really lousy film, especially the story (very lame). The acting too was pretty bad IMHO, especially that of the two Hongkong actors, Cecilia Cheung and Nicholas Tze, probably because of the bad roles they were given.
