Chapter 96. Pope Leo 3 = Charlemagne, &/or Leo 4/5 or Constantine 6 (East).
The first 33 or 45 popes at least of the early popes list are positively proven to be fake in that we have shown that they undeniably, positively match the Roman emperors from Nero to Constantine 1 to Majorian (West) or Leo 1 (East). The are even more seeming possible matches of "popes" with emperors after the 45th "pope" (who fairly/pretty certainly seems to match Majorian (West) and/or Leo 1 (East)), but we have not yet thoroughly investigated to see if there are definite matches or not, and how far down the matches continue until. We are not sure what date the "popes" and emperors continue to match each other down to, except that we have matches down to at least the 45th "pope". (The matches seemingly continue down to until somewhere between after 45th "pope" and the 189th pope.)
"(96th) Pope Leo 3" seemingly may be a fake and seemingly may match either/both emperor(s) Charlemagne (West), and/or, Leo 4 &/or Constantine 6 &/or Leo 5 (East), and/or Leoninus (duke of Rome), [or, Lombard duke?]
(We haven't finished this chapter yet as we haven't finished going through the pope's and the emperors' long biographies yet. There may be even more strong evidences yet.)

The pope's enemies were then tried by Charlemagne's envoys and, being unable to establish either Leo's guilt or their own innocence, were sent as prisoners to France (Frankland). In the following year (800) Charlemagne himself came to Rome, and the pope and his accusers were brought face to face." (the Cúlian?) - emperor Charlemagne: name Charlemagne.
