The Passage of the Ten Thousand through Kurdistan: Anabasis

Historian and commander Xenophon wrote in 401 BC Anabasis (the return of tens of thousands) of
Corduene (Kurds) from the third book of his work. Xenophon  the Greeks, after defeating the army
of 10,000 over the Persian army in the Corduene area (The land of Kurda) a journey that began way back they were told of being reefs.

The Karduchis (Kurds) are very good fighters and very agile people, they were against Artaxerxes
the Shah of Iran was his enemy; they are not  subject to him. It was so in the Karduchias a time, 120,000 Iranian royal army, which occupied the country the  Corduene have, even one of them was able to not come Back Route, that was the reason jumble of Kurdistan took place.

Xenophon, the Kardukh the pedigree and they are completely different from the Iranians from
their many enemies, he describes as a witness. Karduchians gathering of some of the killed soldiers and wounding the others attack the front and wrote that the attack was a surprise catch themselves. If Kardukh with a number larger than the attack told  the secessionist states would have destroyed a large part of the army.

He wrote that they use slings. Stone, a kind of slings and arrows wrote, led Peshmerga (guerrilla warfare). They all engage together in the choir, in the form of attacks with the hymn, a hymn (Kurdish) he wrote. The Kardochi were very good fighters, he wrote that the  length of the palm-sized bows and long arrows.

During the occupation have Karduchi took their young children in the mountains wrote resist the
invaders withdraw. He also wrote that the Kurdish village quite a few copper items.

Karduchians in the mountains, burning sacred fire, with the fire wrote that they communicate with
each other.

In the Kurdish village and  Cities of Kurdish house is very nice, plenty of food found in these houses and they found plenty of wine, the wine storage tanks were followed plastered wrote the best cisterns.

So, the Kurds have understood that very modern and developed society.
