| Couldn't find any other topics on the subject of alchemy and as its the foundation for all modern sciences that seemed kind of like a waste. |

Yes, without alchemy, there would be no chemistry, or other related sciences! Even the alphabet begins somewhere!

You mean the philosopher stone, the elixir of life, the fifth element all of them are more or less the same thing, and they could supposedly change lead into dold through a transmutation that wasn't governed by the usual rules. Von Hohenheim and Nicolas Flamel are 2 of the people who supposedly created said stone there being a little proof on the Nicolas Flamel's case.
