Hi, I'm looking for college level World History books or textbooks that covers materials from Ancient Civilizations to Modern society.

Right now I'm reading World History in Brief, by Peter N. Stearns, and to be honest, reading that book is really frustrating, the books never looks in depth to the subject it touches and its view and perspective, although sometimes interesting, is most of the time superficial. To put it in short, I can extract more information from wikipedia than the book itself. And this is kind of sad, cause after taking AP history courses, i would expect college courses to be more informational.

I really loves history, and i don't want the materials to hinder my curiosity.

So can anyone suggest some books, if possible i would like some books that is comparable to The History of Europe, by J.M Roberts
