The Olympic Summer Games were held in London in 1908.
On the schedule there were interessting competitiones like Tug of War, Racets ( a kind of squash) and Figure Skating.This took place at the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princes_Skating_Club - Prince's Skating Club , in the district of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knightsbridge - Knightsbridge . It was the first time that a type of winter sport was ever introduced in the Olympic Games, 16 years before the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1924_Winter_Olympics - first Winter Olympics in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chamonix - Chamonix .

 If this lovely couple would have gone through the ice at that time, many would have spared us. All this boring sunday-afternoon events with this young ladies throwing competitions.
