Nice stuff, yet again! Congratulations to Rider, Paul and the team! I look forward to reading some great articles. Smile

Oh, and is the picture quiz the Battle of Eylau?

This addition looks great! The pic of the released British sailors was funny.

And now we have worst mod of the month nominations! I had better stop stealing stationary from the mod room or face the consequences LOL

Paul, something is wrong. I sense it.

The page doesn't display for me at the link in this topic and at http://www.allempires.com/article/index.php?q=monthly_features, the page is distorted (very much).

Plus, it seems that you have left something out but that's a discussion of another time. (which essentially doesn't change anything cause there are some stuff already in this....:D). But I can't be sure since it doesn't display the picture correctly for me.

Update:

IE 6 viewed it fine for me as FF 2.0 didn't. So try to do the same if you encounter any problems. Can't say for sure about other browsers. Also, the previously mentioned article is definetly left out. Sorry Hope - next MAg will be it then.

Napoleon Bonaparte on the Battlefield of Eylau, 1807

The battle of Eylau (8 February 1807) in Poland, in which the Russian army was defeated by the French during the fourth coalition, was an extremely bloody engagement, resulting in 25,000 dead and wounded.

Mr Guest/ mystery hacker/????  your answer to the above questions leads me to a few conclusions. either  #1. It was not you that unstickied the thread or # you are a lier as a mod/ admin are the only ones that could have done it-  barring#3 you really are a hacker, then we are in big touble. but you were correct in answering Q# 7 Rider is not overly pleased with us so we had better make this quick.

Yes I was a bit confused about Ulrich's post. Ulrich: were you confirming that it was the battle of Eylau? Or was that your guess as to what the answer to the picture quiz was?

And now i'm confused, at all.
My Answer to Pic Quiz May 2007 was:
The picture was drawn in 1808 by Anoine-Jean Gros and shows Napoleon at the Battle of Eylau 1807 (East-Prussia), not Austerlitz. Something wrong ?

Do editors have the ability to unsticky? In that case it is Paul...

Nope, Aelfgifu, only Admins can do that. Even my  mod powers can't make a global announcement. Although if Paul edited the first post then the sticky would automatically leave.

? I can sticky and unsticky whatever I want... Ah! more undiscovered powers!

if you can sticky/unsticky and make global anouncments in all forums then there is something really wakco going on cause you shouldn't be able to.

Hm, there is then, because as far as I know, I can post anywhere and sticky whatever I want.... Shocked But I also was the only one who could edit in the Modsroom before, remember... So yes, I think the settings on my account may be a bit on the liberal side..., you might wanna take a look at that... Wink

No, it is not... Power over people was never my desire... [adjusts halo to properly devout angle]

Hm, one wonders what nasty reply was edited away there, Paul... LOL

To be frank, I do not care about 'special powers' as I do not need or use them anyway... And I do not go in for peeing contests about who has the most buttons...Wink

Perhaps someone granted her administrator powers? It might be possible. But in any case, none of the mods could be able to make anything Global as it is now.
