AFAIK The state of the Vatican City has regular diplomatic relationship with almost every State in the world with only few exceptions: China, North Korea, Saudi Arabia.

Yeah, didn't Bush go to Pope John Paul II's funeral? What about Tony Blair, did he go?

Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh had an audience with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican on April 3, 2014.
The Pope gave the Queen a gift for Prince George, an orb of lapis lazuli with the Cross of St. Edward the Confessor.

HM QE II is official head of British Church - as well as Head of State,
this is a constitutional authority standing - since King Henry VIII explicitly revoked the previous privileges traditionally accorded to the Bishop of Rome ( Pope)..

I think that for centuries the popes are trying to get Britain back and reunite the catholic church with anglican church.

Catholics continue to be banned from becoming Monarchs, out of fear they would try to convert the last 12 practicing Angelicans in England back to Christianity.

Yet another reason to support Republicanism. The rules surrounding succession are offensive and obtuse.

I recall there are diplomatic contacts between the Vatican and Saudi Arabia at times, and both it and the Knights of Malta are UN observers, so if your part of the UN,  you have diplomatic contact with not one, but two Vatican's of sorts, the spiritual Catholic, and the medical Catholic.

Huh? Medical?

Note: that while there is one Monarch for the British Commowealth, HM QE II is head of state for
many nations.. & heads the officially established state church.. & so, cannot kiss the Pope's ring..
