....is one serious longass install, its been at it for almost 3 hours now, and its not even two thirds of the way through according to the progress bar. Whats even more discouraging is that its on CD 2 of 8. Is it meant to take for ever? -------------  Arrrgh!!"

Dunno, depends on your processor speed and also on CD-ROM speed. Also be sure to close as many background applications and programs as possible. That helps. ------------- |

I don't think its CPU speed or CD-ROM speed, bother are reasonably fast. But damn its taking for ever. I could have installed a 3 CD game several times in this time. Maybe its because there are an insane amount of files, as opposed to a few big ones or something. Edit: OK, thats part two done, now its part three, the library files, 3 CDs, i'll die of old age before this is over. ------------- Arrrgh!!"
