Its already modern compared to the majority of the world. Compared to the U.S. I'd say its getting there. Their Airforce seems a bit suspect but they've made huge strides in the past decade.

It's getting there fast. They are advancing with equipment rapidly. There was questions about their infantry training saying it was no where even near to the standards of the US infatry training, from what im hearing though 250 000 troops have already been trained up to US standards, and their number keeps rising. When are they gonna invade taiwan ?

They wont invade Taiwan unless N. Korea invades S. Korea. Even then its unlikely. -------------
