I recently ran across an interesting MMOG.

http://www.lastknights.com/

I have become addicted to it.

There is plenty to keep you busy... on several levels of play.

Sounds interesting. I don't feel like reading all the instructions, so could you give us a quick run on how it works?

Uh, I can give a brief description.

To be honest, anyone that does not have the time or desire to read about the game... will probably not be interested in playing.

To be successful, it requires a lot of time... on-line.

You start as a lowly Corporal, in charge of a few soldiers, and work your way up... rank by rank.

There are 20 ranks you can earn... not counting Emperor.

The emperor is elected by the Generals... once you have a minimumof two Field Marshals.

With each promotion... your "budget" increases and you can afford more and better soldiers.

Your character and the soldiers under your command improve as you engage in combat.

Combat is where you also earn the bulk of your monies.

Combat can include fighting bandits and pirates... to full-scale battles.

I believe their are around 40 different unit types... some specific for certain regions.

It is played in teams (countries) and the object is to control the game-world.

This Age started with 39 countries and is now down to eight.

If your country is eliminated... you can join one of the active nations.

It is FREE.

There is currently over 4,000 players in the game.
