William Hiseland joined the army aged 13 and fought for the king in the English Civil War. He saw action at Edgehill and reached the rank of sergeant. As the last Cavalier, he was given a place at Chelsea Hospital at the age of 100. He moved out when he took a wife, moved back in after her death, and died at the age of 112

80 years under the colours. 89 and still in battle. Married at 103.
 
That was one tough fighting, hard riding, old son of his mother.LOL
