The Nazis saw the Olympic games as an opportunity to outshine America. To achive this they built Classical-inspired stadiums and installed the latest radio and television equipment, many of which are still in use today. Nazi athletes won 33 gold medals for Germany, but Hitler was outraged the black American Jesse Owens won four gold medals for sprinting and refused to shake his hand

Olympic fever gripped Nazi Germany. This 1936 Opel Car was named Olympia and featured (for the time) futuristic styling
