Both the Persians and Medes referred to themselves as "Aryan" which is the Avestan version of the Pahlavi "Eran".

There are proof of this. However are there proof of other Iranian branches (Sogdians, Parthians, Scythians, Sarmatians, etc) referring to themselves as Aryans?

Whats been bugging me for weeks now is, were the Aryans (Persians, Medes, etc) part of the greater Scythians? Or were the Scythians only one group of the greater Aryan branch?

Sogdians (some part of them), Scythians, Sarmatians arent aryan or indo-europan. They are altaic. This is the answer.
