Here's something I'm posting here for no other reason than to show off.

I had it made in Thailand about a year ago. It's an inch under four feet long. Made of ultra high carbon blackened steel, copper fixtures artificially antiquised.

It's the best cutting sword I have, out cuts my 1796 Marchant, Katana even a Kukri.

Before you ask............ It cost too much, but only a fraction of the cost of a European or Japanese sword manufactured to this quality, so a bargain.

Thailand has a long tradition of making some of the finest swords in the world. They even have an entire town of traditional swormakers, yet it remains unknown to Thais, the outside world or even tourist guides.

you can already tell from the appearance that it has to be a good sword. single-edged, slightly curved with no handguard. how did you get that through customs?

Swords are legal in the UK, no problem importing a sword whatsoever. Though the new law coming in April will outlaw cheap immitation stainless steel samurai swords.

There is a English guy down in Kuwait on one of the American bases there who sells worthless swords to the coalition forces passing through.... they are so useless they will even be coated in chrome and your last name and a fake family shield on it. Strange how it's allowed to export crappy swords, but not import them.
