Gwon Yul was indeed a heroic Korean as well. It's just that even he cannot be compared to Yi Sunshin's brilliance.

Well, Gwon Yul would have been way more recognized if the Ming actually let him fight; I mean before that he was doing a great job; as good as Yi's

It's very strange, when ever i try to search for General Deng Zilong on wikipedia, i couldn't find any as if they were purposely being left out.
