Not trying to gripe or rip on it per se, just seems odd that most other areas are so general and Iran gets its own thread....?    : confused :

The last place you wouldn't expect justice to Iran's history would be on a site founded by an Iranian. This forum discusses the history of all Iranians throughout history, the most far reaching of all Indo-European peoples whose land was never merely confined solely to the modern polity of Iran.

Who ist the Founder, and is he realy in Iran, that would explain the slow site built up.

Pre-Islamic Persia, is as important as the Greeks and Romans, they achieved a lot but we (in the west) do not know much of them. AFAIK the Persian Empire was from Iraq to China from Kasachstan to India, nearly in all this countries is Nevroz, Persian New Year it begins at Srping, celebrated, they Make fires and dance, and the Fire is also the Symbol of the Mazadist Religion.

The Mazdaism is their own  Monotheistic Religion , which has a very interesting Theology.

And the Iranians went an other way then other Muslims, they are Shia.

And They invented a Soft-Drink which is better then its Western Counterparts, like Fanta or Sprite, the Iranians know it, it has the same name like the fountain in Mecca, the name is Zam Zam mhhh,

I am heavely armed, entirely sick and extremly nationalistic.

Maybe you are right and it is not necessary to have a forum for just Iranian history, but as Purya said this forum is not only about modern Iran (Persia).

Who ist the Founder, and is he realy in Iran, that would explain the slow site built up

 our server is in Canada.

Because Iranians Rock!

Anyway why you begrudging this Historically overlooked nation?

Any self respecting Iranian would subscribe to the theory that there has been a viciouc conspiracy over Centuries to deprive Persian and more Broadly Iranian Culture from its rightful place in the History of Man.

Without them though- No Jews/ No bible/ No Garden of Eden/ No Dualistic Theocratic belief/ no Monotheism of any worth full stop.

Britain more than most understands the threat the Persian mind poses to Western interests and ultimate prosperity. It is the Fulcrum around which Arabia, the Caucasus , Central Asia and the SubContinent pivot.

Thats why it gots its own thread, and about time too, because we've got plenty of opinions to share haha!

Knowledge is power, and power is the knowledge of when not to use it.

Iranian history is not only the history of Modern geographic Iran, but all Iranian peoples, including Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans, Medes, Parthians, Indo-Parthians, Bactrians, Kushans, YueZhi, and later states.
