saying that china has at least 5 times more poeple than the us and her allies ,could china stand an attational war with the us.And how many men could she field.And just to say china has a poplution of 1.300,000,000.

China would be fighting an attritional war with the US, but the US doesn't fight wars of attrition (very well). Considering China has an organized military, she is infinitely more vulnerable than disorganized insurgencies like the ones in Iraq. The US Military is the most efficient military machine ever created, and it's fortisimo is dismantling enemy armies. Even with China's manpower and Air Force, she'd eventually be ground into the dirt.

Think more in terms of who the likely land opponents of China might be.
 
It is as highly unlikely that the US and China will go to "hot" war as it was that the US and USSR would have.
 
"Cold" war is another thing.  Smile

China could probably stand up against US and her allies if the conflicts too place in China. It's likely that Russia will offer China her support, if China is under attacked. But it's less likely that China would be able to wage war against US and her allies outside of China.... or nearby China. Manpower alone is not the key to the victories in war.

Huh? Remember Grant, WWI, WWII, Korean Police Action etc. The US is the worlds premier industrial power, it can fight such a war.
 
 
However in case of a war with China, the US would probablt fire off its nukes and turn China a parking lot.
