Maybe the Central Asian states would have been much stronger if the Oguz tribe decided to stay in Central Asia. Maybe they would have never been occupied by the Russians if the Oguz Turks had remained in Central Asia.

Anatolia however has very furtile grounds and has a huge water surplus. Also the Turks managed to occupy large parts of the Arabian, European and Persian world. Too bad none of them speak Turkish today. The English empire has been an occupying force for a much shorter period of time but many of their ex-colonies have English as first or second language.

Maybe the Turks from Anatolia should encourage some migration from Central Asia to Turkey.

-Why do you think this?  I don't think it would've made a difference, atleast not a significant difference.

-Many Central Asian Turks already do migrate to Turkey.  But why should we encourage it?  Why not also encourage Turkish people migrate to Central Asia?  Are you one of these Turkish Nationalist "Pan-Turkists"?
For Turks, the homeland isn't Turkey, nor yet Turkistan. Their country is a vast, eternal land: Turan!
