I would say Rise of Nations!! But i havent played it in a long time. but i still say Rise of Nations!!!

You may try Rise of Nations, that's a very nice game, beside if you have a good computer (with at least 64MB graphic card) you may give a try to Total War series as well like Rome: Total War and so on...
