Liu Kang already got zombified..

Officially, no one knows since they rewrite the official storylines every 2 months or so. It's funny becuase the MK storyline is the most inconsistent possible and basically lacks any credibility in story flow.

yes, i renembered his name, for some reason i could do his combos faster than any other character. That Shiva-chick with the many arms had the best combo though, but it took to long and was easier to screw up.
This was back with MKIII though, things may have changed.

yeh shiva was one of my better characters.

My speciality had to be using Scorpian, i feel he was one of the easiest players in the series. Well, in truth, all the ninja's rock

Lui Kang - Bruce Lee wanabe

Rayden - Electric Shooting Guy from Big trouble in Little China

Shang Tsung - Looked exactly like bad boss from big trouble in little china

Goro - Rip off of Four Arm - Marvel comic character - 4-Arm

Scorpion - Rip off of Ghost Rider, another Marvel character  (fiery headed vengeance spirit)

Anyways back to your question.  I think the whole Mortal Kombat Tournament was a way for the Earth God Raiden to buy more time for Earth from destruction at the hands of Shao Kahn.  I think Outworld was destroyed and conquered because they lost 10 times in MK Tournament.  Kahn knowing he cant ever lose agreed to the tournament until ofcourse Bruce Lee saved the Earth by defeating Kahns warriors and wizards.

Actually, Earth had lost the tournament 9 times in a row. However, Earth won the 10th tournament, which was represented by the Mortal Kombat 1. After that, Shao Kahn tried to conquer earth by using alternative methods and there were no more Mortal Kombat tounaments after Motal Kombat 1.

The outworld was never destroyed.

In a different time of the storyline, the realm of Edenia lost 10 tournaments in a row to the Outworld, and was subsequently conquered for a time.
