I always wondered who would win if these guys met each other at battle...

I would say Hanibal cause he had more experience  against high quality armies, Alexander fought mainly with a crumbling Persian Empire and her ragtag troops.

What do you guys think > ?

I would say Alexander because once Hannibal faced a competent commander, he was slaughtered.

Hannibal was actually a student of Alexander's tactics. In the end it would be Hannibal who won because of that.

It all depends on the terrain, troops, who has the advantage coming into the battle.  Hannibal was great at enveloping tactics and ambushing, Alexander was great at sensing how the battle was going and exploiting that, his ability to inspire troops and some would say luck.  Like Constantine XI pointed out Hannibal studied Alexander (and ranked Alexander above him because of his loss to Scipio) so that would definitely give Hannibal the advantage.
