Shah Ismael Hatai is one of the most respected persons for Anatolian Alevi people. Alevi belief is somewhat close to Shi'a but it has some rituals similar to Shamanism; it's a unique belief of Anatolia. Alevi people pray together by singing along with baglama/saz music and the lyrics of these songs are the poems written by some important figures of Alevi/Shi'a history. Shah Ismael Hatai is one of them. His poems written in Turkish are sung for hundreds of years. In the below links, there's a compilation of such Alevi music, all of their lyrics are the poems of Shah Ismael. The singers are Ali Rza and Huseyin Albayrak brothers: .html .html
