I have the game, and it doesn't work. It's a 2GB program for changing your screen resolution, and doing nothing afterwards.

This is a game you probably would want to give a miss until Cossacks II comes out...I'm saving me gold for that one.

I could, i already listed the persian units.

The Macedonians have 3 units of each categories Foot, Cavalry and Mercenary. Also Artillery but only 2 types.

their foot units are the Hypospis wich are heavy sword infantry, the Peltasts, who are skirmishers (throws javelins), and the Sarisofor (the Macedonian Pikemen, i think it comes from Sarissa the pike they carried).

Their Cavalry are Cataphractus, heavily armoured cavalry (not like cataphracts, they have golden breastplates and their horses are not armoured) that have an excellent attack, The Dimah, medium sword armed cavalry, and last the Thessalian Riders, these are mounted peltasts basically.

The Mercenaries are the same as the persians (Scythian heavy, ligh and Axemen) but they also get a mercenary archer (like the persian unit exactly)

Macedonians also have artillery and ships, they have Ballistas and Catapults, their warships are the Unireme, Bireme(persians have it too) and Triere (Trireme, persians have the Warship) (and light ship, but the persians have these too).

The fromations are based on stances and number of soldiers, lowest formation is 36 soldiers, or 20 cavalry, highest is 100 soldiers or 40 cavalry.

They have stances, Agressive, Neutral and Defensive, Agressive put swordsmen in a wedge formation, pelatsts in a crecent, while spears in several lines but their spears are pointed forward. Neutral is neutral and puts them in a box formation or square formation. Defensive puts the units in several long lines good for sarisofors to wipe out cavalry.

its pretty much like cossacks but 10x slower.

Since this is a cossacks based game. Pressing enter and typing babki will give 50000 of all resources and qwe will reveal the map. I know because I just downloaded the demo and tried it.

You can find a smaller sized file at 3d gamers, btw, it seems only the mercenary cavalry are bugged, and i'm having a problem controlling the peasants as they have a knack to work at the nearest resource if they are idle.

And btw why do the macedonians have cataphracts(cataphractus) shouldn't it be the heteroi, while the persians get the cataphracts?

I just gave the demo a test run, i didn't play the macedonians alot becuase i kept messing up in resources, but i managed to play the persians.

The Persians have 3 unique foot units, cavalry units and mercenary units:

The Kardak Spearmen, The Archer and The Immortal are all foot units, The Kardak are defensive units, and are good against cavalry, while the Immortals are high attack units wich are good against spears, the archer is... well your basic archer.

Their cavalry are:

Camel Archers, Horse Archers and Dartsmen, all of them are horse archers apparently, and must rely on mercenaries for melee cavalry.

Their Mercenaries are:

The Scythian Heavy Cavalry (very good units), Scythian Light Cavalry and Axemen (they looked like Rus or something ) both scythian cavalry are melee, one is lighter and cheaper the other is heavier and more expensive.

The unit selection is nice, although i don't know if its historically accurate (especially the halberd weilding immortals) but anyways there is one serious bug, the cavalry disappear when they stop from moving, so you better have them grouped in case you lost them. Overall seems like an average game from the demo, but my impressions will probably change when i get my hands on the full release.

It only says released Nov. 04.
