The Yiannis address is the actual server url from our host. Allempires.com is applied to that server. So basically, you can access either one to get the same thing.

If yiannis95.brinkster.net goes down, then allempires.com will go down as well since its hosted by brinkster.

So would i be right in understanding that Brinkster is run by Yiannis. Thus AE would have considerable Greek influence

Before you are going to start any conspiracy theories, I would like to point that the yiannis.brinkster connection is the result of his helping AE out when we had a problem with the old server, and nothing else. It's purely technical and has no implications for the running of AE and its forum whatsoever.
Yiannis is one of our Global Moderators, and in this capacity has as much influence as any of the others. Again, him being Greek is purely coincidental, and he has done his utmost to stay as neutral in the frequent flame-wars as possible, not an easy task in view of the many accusations and provocations that used to fly around in our forum.
Enough said and we can finish this non-debate here.
