A lost city has been discovered under the present day village of Arkansas City, Kansas, for real.

It's estimated to have had a population of approx. 20,000. Scientists have also found evidence of several other settlements nearly as large, within 20 miles of this site.
This is very likely almost as large as Cahokia.
