Hi,
Did you know that the Viking axe had many forms and purposes?
For example, the Dane axe was a two-handed weapon and was used exclusively for battle :


And there was also the bearded axe that was a one-handed weapon. It had a "beard" which was utilized to hook an enemy's weapon or shield. The bearded axe was also used for wood-working, like chopping wood and harvesting timber.
