Greetings all,

I've spent the last few months putting together a pretty big collection of images to tell the story of my favorite city. It's been a lot more fun than I ever would have imagined. We are already up to the 1940s, but you can start the adventure here:

http://fineprintnyc.com/blog/evolution-of-new-york-city-part-1-1490-1900

Any feedback is appreciated - there have already been many corrections thanks to feedback we've received. If you see something off, or would like to contribute your own pics, please let me know

Thanks for the links - and the heads up Nick.

I was going to post an update here as we have just posted a new chapter on the blog for 1945-1950, but will refrain from doing so until I get the green light.

Thanks! That would be awesome.

Incidentally, I tried to PM him but the forum threw an error saying I dont have sufficient privileges to do so. Thought that was a bit odd - definitely the first time I have never been able to message a mod.

You need 10 posts to be able to PM anyone.  Prevents someone from posting once and then spamming with 20 30 PMs.

Printguru, you have the green light.

Good catch Nick. I am familiar with BB code, but for some reason was convinced that this forum had autolinks.

Cheers!
