   1) Explain the development and spread of Islam. Explain the differences that have emerged in Islam.
2) Compare the African Salt  and Gold Trade routes with the Silk Road in China. Explain what was traded and why these trade routes were important to their respective locations.
3) Explain the importance of the Rise of Ghana and Mali in African civilization.
4) Explain how the Mongol invasion of Russia influenced the development of Russia. Explain other places the Mongols influenced. 
5) The City of Jerusalem is important to many religious groups. Which groups and why?
6) Understand the Tang and Song dynasties. What changes took place during these years? What religious idea(s) dominated?
7) After the fall of Rome, explain what happened in Western Europe. What happened to the Church during this same period?
8) Explain the Byzantine Empire. How was it different from Western Europe in this time?
9) Explain feudalism. What were the social classes? How or why does feudalism end?
10) The Middle East can also be called Southwest Asia. Explain how this area is a "cultural crossroads." Be sure to understand the religions of the area.
