Topic: PC Utilities-What Do You Use? Posted: 12-Jan-2012 at 14:13 |
A lot of use use the computer and internet a great deal. And if you surf as much as I do, your PC is bound to pick up clutter or become infected somehow. What do you use to clean, protect and tidy your PC?
Here is what I use. CCleaner Avast MV RegCleaner Panda Cloud AusLogics Disk Defrag To surf the net in complete safety, (when using Window) I'll surf using Sandboxie.
I've used all of these and so far haven't ever found a virus on my PC. All are free and well trusted.

What a handsome figure of a dragon. No wonder I fall madly in love with the Alani Dragon now, the avatar, it's a gorgeous dragon picture.

Is there a free version and a paid one? Which one do you use?

I used to thing paid versions were better and safer. But after about a year of not paying for Norton360 I haven't noticed the difference. Free seems to be just about right.
Also, I'm taking a long hard look into the free Libre Office that is available. Sure beats paying so much for Office 2007010

Does anyone know of a good, free, easy to use burner?
I need to burn some family photos onto a CD.

I use Ubuntu as well and love it & I flip back and forth, with a dual boot on my PC, with Windows and Ubuntu. It does have a few quirks, but overall I really enjoy using it. I want to try Mint12 but don't want to uninstall Ubuntu.
