I have enough "special" games under my belt. The strange thing was, I knew when I turned it off, that it was going to go on for at least another hour.
The last time I stayed up to watch an extended game it was a hockey match that went 5 overtimes. I guess I don't have that kind of stamina anymore.

The special part of Wilson Valdez coming in from the infield to pitch wasn't immediately known.
That game included infielder Wilson Valdez becoming the first player to start a game in the field and later earn the win as a pitcher since Babe Ruth on Oct. 1, 1921.
At least I can say I saw the first 15 innings.

Btw- the pitch total was 660 pitches. I think that alone is a record.
