For those who follow this sort of stuff this is the premier source of US sales. You aficionados will never ever get much from the US DOD as much remains classified for whatever reason. Hence much of this 'watching and analysis' game depends on the 665 reports from the US State Dept.
 
These reports always apear old because of the enormous amounts of material generated which then requires colation and tabulation; hence they are generally released 15-20 months after a FY has expired.
 
Look, for example, for snippets of releases on FY 10-1st Quarter 11, probably in another 6-9 months. If not leaked elsewhere. It's a lengthy PDF which requires close attention as much is technical jargon not necessarily understandable by laymen. Otoh... it is comprehensive and well organized which will allow those interested in picking through enough; to id trends historical and probable.
 
Amongst the data are country by country breakdowns of sales and while this might require a reader to pick and pull and do some basic arithmatic....it remains a great source.
