 good day

I'm interested in the issue of the methodical study of swordsmanship in the Islamic world ,
now unlike archery , i couldn't find any old manuals dealing with the subject ,and since the sword had had a major part in warfair from the early beginning of islam ,and through the times of Mameluke and ottoman empires  , i wonder why this is the case.

i would like to hear any info  on the subject.

and by the way ,if anyone heard something about a lebanese system of fighting wit sword and shield called "saif o tarsa" or something like that ,i would like to hear it as well.

thank you
