The French contribution to the Rebels wasnt just a fleet and soldiers. It was also an incredible amount of money and supplies without which American revolution would probably end in defeat. In fact the money which France spent for Americans were one of the factors that lead to crisis and French Revolution.
"I am a pure-blooded Polish nobleman, without a single drop of bad blood, certainly not German blood" - Friedrich Nietzsche
In this chapter of USA history were included more than two sides even if French one was dominant.Spain also could not be neglected. No matter was this civil war or revolution, new USA became example for all European revolutions of 1848!
But, I am constantly reminded of the vast amount of historical sites, that became the focal point of the French revolution! According to some sources, it seems that there was destroyed more archaeological and historical material during this/these revolution(s), that all of the fires, and military distruction over the previous 400 years!
For some strange reason, it seems that special targets of these revolutionaries were Roman Catholic places, or tombs, etc.!
