I have to agree here, it took me some looking around before I found this thread.  I knew there had to be one.  Maybe it could be in a more prominent position - easier to locate for a new pair of eyes?

I agree! deTocqueville seems to have had the ability to see into the future of the USA in many ways. Perhaps if more people read his work, then more people will understand just how America has changed since he wrote!

You do not know it,but both my current wife, and me, actually lived in the Seattle area, in cA. 1971-72! But we did not meet until Mississippi!

testing, twice I have gone to a lot of effort to post and not only is my post rejected, but it is completely deleted. 

It's hoped that this will have seen the last of the instability problems.  I apologize for any lost posts.  Cyrus was able to recover all but the last few posts.  Which is a whole lot better than the 2.5 months that they lost.
