Is there a place, or could there be a place?
Meanwhile, I'll start a new thread and hope all is well.
Nice t'meet ye all!

And nice to meet you too, Anthony! I have to agree here, it took me some looking around before I found this thread. I knew there had to be one. Maybe it could be in a more prominent position - easier to locate for a new pair of eyes?

I noticed your e-books. Tocqueville's 1835 book "Democracy in America" is perhaps one of the most important books ever written and it is on line free to anyone. I would like to see it in your list of books.

I agree! deTocqueville seems to have had the ability to see into the future of the USA in many ways. Perhaps if more people read his work, then more people will understand just how America has changed since he wrote!

Opuslola, I can't PM you, so I will have to message you here. I really want to reply to what you said. Please start a thread regarding the change or the book, and PM me.

Dear Karol!
By now you should be able to post your on sites, or if not now, but just a few posts down the road?
But, it seems you and I might well look upon his work, from a lens turned 180 degrees?
Sorry about fooling with you earlier, but you do produce a good product!
Just not my kind of product!
You do not know it,but both my current wife, and me, actually lived in the Seattle area, in cA. 1971-72! But we did not meet until Mississippi!
Regards, and good luck!
Regards,

can we please get a notification before the site goes down for maintenance? (there may have been one and I just missed it)

I use CAPS for emphasis, not yelling. Just don't want to have to click the bold button every time.

The webhost changed platforms. We had no advance notice this was happening or we would have posted notice.

I would suggest, rather than sit by one's computer wondering if Iranian shock ttoops had hit upon Cyrus, that some of our moderators, and higher actually had our real message addresses so we could be kept in line!
Thus, mine is opuslola@aol.com
I have already lost one site that I spent years posting upon, suddenly seeing it all go "floof!"

Are you sure they didn't change their domain name, and didn't tell you?

It's hoped that this will have seen the last of the instability problems. I apologize for any lost posts. Cyrus was able to recover all but the last few posts. Which is a whole lot better than the 2.5 months that they lost.

It was a combo Canadian and Russian site, discussing Fomenko and a locally produced book in Canada! Thus I have some problems when it suddenly went tail up!
I lost literally hundreds of pages of irretrieviable data, etc.!
I was actually younger and smarter then!
So, Soviets and Iranians, I seem to be attracted to potential nuke sites!

I had a similar experience with another History forum. I had been super mod. /admin for 2 years. The owner just shut it down. foof!! gone. He wouldn't even consider selling it to me.
