hey this is just a "jw" question. How many mods do you have? If this place is being attacked by spam bots, you might want more mods, if only for the moment, to help patrol the place. again it's just wondering.

This isn't anything new. We get them freq. you just don't see them normally. I cruise thru looking for that stuff, it doesn't stay long.
We first ban the account, block their ip and then delete the post.
After which, ancient Celtic spells rumored to cause projectile vomiting and painful rectal itch, are incanted.

The "insert Hyperlink" isn't working?

In the upper left corner is a box, first is the spell check, second icon is "Insert Hyperlink". That's the function you use. Once you paste the url you have to delete the http// as it's in the hlink box already. Then hit review and ok and that's it.
Even if it's not hot, a link is still valuable. You just have to copy to browser.

Would it not be possible to have automatically clickable links? The "insert hyperlink" button could be used for embedding a link into a piece of text

That's a question for the Wiz. I'll have to ask Cyrus about that one. I think his response might be something like Why? No ones complained before. I'll look into it.

That wasn't my intention. I was by no means complaining about the website. On all the other big forums (including myspace and facebook) links are automatically clickable. This is what the younger generation (the lifeblood of forums like this one) are accustomed to these days

That would mean I would have to feed 3 more chipmunks.

It's kinda difficult to find specific locations. I think it could be easier by broadening forums. And the large number of Sub-forums also makes it complex

The links still don't work properly. If you click the external link in my post about Havaiti Nui it claims to have a database error. :( All the other forums have automatically clickable links, so why not Allempires?

I think we should make the forum smaller in terms of the number of sub-fora. There are a large number and I find it difficult to go through them. Didn't Nick once offer a thought on it?

The layout of the forums is fine, but i still think we need a separate "introductions" section in the Tavern where newbies feel comfortable introducing themselves
