England thrashing Hiddink's Russia was a big surprise for me. Especially with Owen and Heskey, that's sooooo 20th century. Who's next, now Heskey's hurt? Shearer? Maybe Lineker is still working out at home. Now that is someone I wouldn't mind to see, again.

Germany did the way to EC 08, like Greece, Romania and the Czecks.
Meanwhile England might be getting WC of Rugby, it will be only viewer of the EC 08. Russia made a big step to Austria/Swiss.
Iceland offered the first victory for Liechtenstein in an official match ever. 0-3, a shame for the whole nordic world.
The Bravehearts however lost in Georgia, what a pitty.
The last two qualifying matches are in November.

And, damned, Israel defeated Russia, so the Tommies will have another chance to qualify, the next and at the same time last matchday on wednesday.

Typical, England are so bloody jammy, Scotland never have any luck.
Look at England's group, a bunch distinctly poor to mediocre teams and they still struggle, they would have been destroyed if they were in place of Scotland.

Scotland were robbed by a scandalour ref decision.
England have jammed and jammed, but with the constant mediocre displays, can they realistically expect to do well at the championships.?

na they did okay imo Fatih Terim made a big mistake putting Yusuf in instead of Tuncay or another offesive player. They could easily score 2 more first 30 mins there is no Turkish team on the field 31min untill the second goal there is no Norwegian Team in the field after the second goal Turkey's tempo dropped. i'm just being realistic that SINGLE game or performance isn't even close enough if they want to succed in the EC

Unbelivable. How is it possible that team with such players like England can not qualify for Euro Championship? Steve Mclaren is a real magician. Maybe his real name is Seriosza Maklarenow and his parents were born in a small village near Sevastopol ???

The US military are headhunting him apparently, they want him to run things in Iraq.
