 Beth Shortt 1924-1947, The Black Dahlia

I've always loved historical mysteries like this. Having recently seen the new Hollywood film based on the aftermath of the crime I have become intrigued by the life and death of The Black Dahlia, Elizabeth Shortt , the young rising Actress who'd come to LA to  find her fortune only to have her young life cruelly cut short ( no pun intended!)
 
So what do you think? Who killed her and why? What was she like in life? What was her life like?
