It is only Soviet side calling German offensive and Russian offensive against each other People's war, if u meant that
 
WWII is from 1939 to 1945
 
People's war is from 1941-since Germans attacked Soviets-to 1945-when they invaded Berlin
History is a farm. Nations are farmers. What they planted before will show what is going to grow tomorrow!
