Topic: Who is she? Posted: 14-May-2006 at 11:17 |
WHO is SHE?
Whoever
guesses correctly can then make an attempt to outsmart everyone else.
One a woman is correctly identified, I will post a short bio of her and
her accomplishments in an additional thread - if the person who
submitted her would rather do this themselves, just let me know.
Here is my first attempt:

She was a
talented mathematician in her own right but only those with a
particular interest in her would know anything about her other than the
identity of her husband. WHO is SHE?

I'll post another for the time-being.
She may not look like much, but she was Queen of what is now one of the
wealthiest and most powerful nations in her particular region of the
world.

Hey! Isn't Amina of Zaria supposed to be a Nigerian Queen of the 16th c.?
This is very misleading it looks like a photograph.

Okay, this is going to be an easy one:
Name the Persian woman, worldy reknowned for her beauty, that became Alexander the Great's favorite wife upon his conquest of the Iranian Plateau.
note: Sometimes she is labeled as having been an Indian princess, at other times, a Persian one.
