I know. I don't get why people think Helen Keller is so great. I mean, yeah, she overcame her problem, but she did not do much else for the world.

 

Well she is a writer.... 1st her problems arne't easy at all, over coming them is great thing... 2nd she became an example of struggle for those who suffer from illness and so on......

That is what King Leonides of Sparta told his men before the battle of Thermopylae.  I think that quote is so amazing because it reveals the character of those soldiers, who knew that they were facing certain death but still went on because of their ideals and honor.  Which I think is rare today.
