Its another one of those 'cywr needs a new computer game moments'.
So the game is fairly new, i played the first one, and, whilst I did like it, it didn't have terribly great replayability value.
The sequel is the same concept, but promises to be hugely improved, with 3D universe view, design-your-own-ships and the works.
I could concievably play it on this computer on the lower graphics
settings (minimum requirements), but its going for 30 pounds, and in a
spiffy metal case i should add.
Anyone played it? Buy now or wait?
Alternativly there is Master of Orion III. Played and liked the first two, its effectivly the same genre as the above. But....
MoO III recieved a ton of negative reviews due to bugs and other
problems. Patches and newer versions promise to have removed all that,
but is this game worth trying out?
I can get it pre-owned fairly cheap so the money factor isn.t an issue, i could even get several per-owned games this way.
The company that created GC2 released new content more than the Maxis does for the Sims, only its free. So in terms of support I would go GC2. Every single space game that I know of says they have ship building, like MOO3, but its generally just refitting your ships with better weapons. But you never know, they might have something snazy. However as far as turn based stratergies go Iam waiting for Heores of Might and Magic 5. And as far as constructing ones own stuff Iam waiting for Spore, you can create your own life forms.
