Topic: EC Qualification Clash - Greece vs Turkey Posted: 28-Mar-2007 at 20:55 |
It is apparent that we have the luck with the goalkeepers of our rivals, though ...4 days ago, Nikopolidis, now Norwegian Myhre presented us their worst skills in the goal post

I mean, how did it happen? Latvians play football well... they participated in Euro2004, and defeated a mighty team like Turkey, and got a draw with Germany... Seriously they are not crap...so how is this possible?

Oh, it is indeed possible, and I am quite pleased with the score - hopping that it would lead to structural changes in team like dropping manager and several constant under performers who shouldn't be in the national side. I was rooting for Lichtenstein, because Latvia team's gameplay was complete joke. Since the former manager who led us to Euro 2004 left us - the game quality has deteriorated with the new manager (the worst manager for Latvia all time) who doesn't have authority over the players. Players don't respect him.

When players don't respect a coach, a team is ill-fated... But even tough they ahd little respect toward him, they should have got a draw at least..
how did the Latvian media react to this score?

Czechs losing to Germany was bad, but I think they still got a chance. You gotta respect Northern Ireland, though! Especially Mr. Healy who has scored 9 of the teams 10 goals!

Georgey Best was from Belfast - top 5 player in the world of all time...
Healy is actually doing really well for Fulham in the premiership this season, contrary to most (including myself) people's scepticism..
