Yea i wanted to ask you all as steppe "historians" what kind of common points those famous steppe (origined) khans had. In wich subject where they mostly capable? Wich mistakes did they also mostly do?

It might be a little difficult to summerize, as all those Khans had specific characters.

My impression, however, is that they all had common characters which the Nomadic people have. Only they were extreme examples, with some exceptions:

capabilities: Fierce, bold, unpridictable, cold bloodness towards enemy, and warm hearted towards the friends, and most importantly generous.

Weakness: not shrewd enough in long term strategy, easy to be temped by lust.



Either make a history or become a history.

oh thanks barbar to post a reply in my thread ;)

anyway i think they where capable of unifing people's/tribes, waging a war against a big(ger) empire, winning of critical battle's, spreading of fear, interest in other cultures or the peoples culture that he has conquered.
