Wow, the most beautiful ones among the others are obviously Lebanese!
And btw, Morocco isnt an Arabic state. They are Berber, from the generation of "Ham".

The language and culture is Arabic though, just like Azerbaijan is Turkic.

Mrocco is a mix of Arabic and Berber. Parts of the country are still
primarily Berber speaking, but Arabic dominates in the main urban
areas, except for Marrakech where Berber is supposed to be dominant.

when it comes to arabic music, i'd like to mention the most known and used key in arabic musicology-in traditional classical Turkish music (i guess, not sure, correct me if i'm wrong) known as "hicaz"(hidjaz)
it's a heptatonic key, i mean when you go up/down, untill the next octave of the starting note, you get 7 different notes.
so if we start with E(mi) it goes like this (without commas);
E(mi) - F(fa) - G#(sol diyez) - A(la) - B(si) - C(do) - D#(re diyez) - E(mi)
So I also made some records with my guitar!!!
Here is the basic key of hicaz:2005-06-19_101604_gam.rar
and a sample solo with my ass-kicking style:2005-06-19_102034_2.rar
and a second one:2005-06-19_102148_1.rar

This woman had a strong influence in Turkey, too. A new style of music came into being in the 70s and reached its peak in the 80s in Turkey, called 'Arabesk', partly due to her influence. Today it is not as popular as it used to be. Turkish pop (a la Tarkan) has taken over.

Oooh, thank you!!!
Being in Mid-Eastern dance, I'm starting to know the slight differences. (Granted, not all of these are the kind for my dance.) Anyhow, thanks for the links!!

Slm. I love Arabic music, so thanks for the list of artists. Altough how could you forget about AmrDiab (Egypt, i think) and the artist from which ive heard some of the best Arab music Sameera Said (Lebanon).
O yeah EOUI or EOI not sure on the spelling but this song is great. Who sings it?
