According to the RTR staff, 7.0 will be made for RTW:BI. Hope so.

that demo wasn't much of a promotion for the game, they should have made mor eof an effort and included more features.

Oh, only $30, thanks guys. I may actually get it now. $30 is about the lowest you can get a game anyways.

Starting date is 364 I think. So that's plenty of time before Stilicho (he was more like 400 AD).
It actually is $ 30.00, BTW.

What exactly is the starting date, been reading about Stilicho and would like to command under him.. not that early?
Anyway, eventually the fantasy will get modded out and I will get it for the new options.

I will wait because I am getting another game this fall. I did spend
the whole $50 on Rome Total War. I would not spend $50 for the next one
because of its crappy history if it was not for the Rome Total Realism
modders.

The realism mod is pretty awesome.
And it takes popular games forever to go down in price. This game is
worth 50 dollars for one thing. The way I justify spending that
much money on a game is I consider it a way of voting for the type game
I like. If you want to see more of this type of game you should spend
the extra 10 or 15 bucks on it.

Just to add, as one of the new playable faction in the Barbarian Invasion expansion are the Sassanids. Finally, some real heavy hitting Persians in as stratgey game.

Lol, I heard about that to. Creative Assembly
doesn't care about historical accuracy at all. I am not going to play
EB because I do not think it is following history as good as RTR.

I think phalanx mode is abolished. What could the shield wall mode do?

I think the game will be great. It seems like the horse archer fire on
the move bug has been fixed, and cavalry has been toned down.
My favorite thing to do in RTW is wiping out the romans, and I think BI will have plenty of that!

The demo was nice, although I had some major glitches with it. Such as trees being in the sky. Or all of my units routing after I chose to continue killing off enemies. Odd...

That ballista carrier was insane, I killed 10% of the enemy with it.
The AI was abit suspect but its a demo so I suppose isnt accurate for the whole thing (I hope).
