When we are talking about history it has got so many aspects to watch upon apart from just wars and thrones. What I want to throw light on is the question regarding the treatment of injuries in the ancient periods.

Where there are wars, injuries and deaths are inseparable parts of it. Death is inevitable but the injuries are curable. Now we have machines and techniques to diagnose the problems with their immediate solution but how did they managed it in the early ages? I got this question in my mind because I was reading about Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson and he had his arm lost in a war. So what possibly could have gone so wrong with his hand that it was unsavable and he had no option but to lose it?
