I was just wondering if anyone knows examples of private armies or units in action during the Napoleonic Wars?
I know this period was a part of the transition to centralized nation-states in Europe and a rise in national identities, but still I was curious whether there were any private military or mercenary forces in existence that were outside any national administration and instead owed their allegiance to individuals or companies?

The only example I've heard of were the troops of the British East India Company, who I believe were involved in British attacks on some Dutch colonies in Indonesia (please correct me if I'm wrong though).
